One of the our faculty members, Assoc. Dr. Ekmel Geçer published the "distance education" article in the journal Education and Information Technologies with his colleagues. In the article they published last year, Geçer and his colleagues asked about a thousand students their thoughts on "online education" and 72% of them said that distance education cannot replace face-to-face education. In their article published today, they asked the same thing to university professors this time. They said, “Nothing replaces being with the students in the classroom.”
